37 Weeks!

Well I guess its time for an update! I am 37 weeks today! Only 3 more weeks! YAY :) Lets hope she is early or at least on time! I am just about ready for her to come out now.. I am totaly uncomfortable and hardly able to sleep... i wake up with pains in my pelvic area and can hardly walk to the bathroom lol (which happens at least 4-5 times during the night btw)

We are slowly putting our christmas stuff up.. I just LOVE it.. haha I want everything to be up and ready, incase I do go into labour. I am actually going to start wrapping some presents today as well. Yesterday I did all our christmas cards... so I wont have to worry about that.. :) Last christmas we got a porcelain village from my nanny and grandad and its SOOO adorable! it has a church, bakery, city hall and other cute things.. lol we are going to buy some fake snow stuff from walmart, and it will look very cute all set up! It probably wont be able to be set up next year.. (unless its up high) haha so I want to be able to enjoy it this year !

I was trying to take pictures of our house yesterday, and for some reason they were coming up really dark... then i realized that the flash wasnt working.. (it was still making the noise it does when the flash is turned on) so mike got home and was like "its broken" SOOO we took it to future shop to get fixed.. 3-6 weeks.. PFFT! Mike was like "well we need a camera, is there any way to make it faster?" and the lady was like "nope".. so Mike was like, "well then im just going to go buy a camera, use it and then return it when that one is fixed".. the 2 ladies were just like "Ok.." haha
So in the camera section the man was trying to get us to buy this expensive camera (for his commission) and mike was like, "Im just gonna tell you, I plan to return this, so I just want a cheap one that takes good pics." HAHA the man was like "Ok, then this one." went and got it and gave it to us... hahaha so anyways we have a new camera for when the baby comes... but we will return it after christmas.. or whenever we get the old camera back! We just cant start liking the new one.. :)

We are almost done our Christmas shopping.. yay. We still need a few gifts, but we basically know what we are getting everyone we have left.. so thats awesome! For Mikes mom and grandma we are going to pay for us all to go get professional pictures done.. when the baby is born. So we are going to buy nice frames for them, wrap it up and write a little note in it to say that we are going to pay for us to get the pics done! Walmart has a great deal.. its like $20 and you get tons of pics! I dont really know how the pictures turn out from there, but im sure they will be good.
Mike and I also wanna get some done of just us and the baby... but I dont think we can the same day as the other.. (it says on the flyer you cant do it more then once per family) so we might have to wait.. but thats ok too.
well I think this is long enough for today... haha I will try to keep up to date about the baby and if I think she is on her way :)

its all coming together!

We are finally all moved in now! We still need to do a few things around the house.. putting up pictures, and some bathroom cabinets.. but really, we are doing very good for moving in less then one week ago!

It was my birthday on wed. I spent most of the day organizing the house with my mum.. and then went to my parents for dinner, and that was about it! My parents got me SO much for my birthday.. I got the light fixture i wanted for the dining room, the matching 4 drawer dresser for our bedroom set, the avent breast pump i wanted. My brother got me this cute santa decoration.. its a ladder with santa walking up and down carrying christmas lights.. it plays music too! so cute. Mike got me season 1 of 90210 (already half way through it.. haha) and tickets to go to body worlds at science world.. (We are doing that tomorrow)

Today Mikes brother spent the day here, he didnt have school today so Mikes mum is going to pay us for taking care of him.. which helps us out a bit with bills... also starting Monday I will have him every morning before school.. which is a little extra money.. so thats good! I havent heard from EI so I dont know when I will get my first cheque.. soon I hope.

My Nanny and Grandad came over today to see the place.. they gave Me and Mike a $500 cheque for a house warming gift.. I was so shocked I almost shit my pants!! hahahah! It couldnt have come at a better time though :)

I am getting close to being done my christmas shopping... we basically need to just buy for parents and brothers... yay!

Well it is almost 12:30 and I cant believe I am still awake.. (waiting for Mike to finish playing xbox so we can go to bed)
I will post pics of our place soon!!! I just gotta get Mike to start hanging things!

busy busy busy!

It has been a busy week! It has been one week since we got the keys to the place... and I cant believe how much we have gotten done!! We picked a painter, he is going to start tomorrow. It will cost us $1300, but it includes baseboards, and trim and the paint.
We spent a lot of time, and 2 containers of poly fill, filling all the holes they left behind! The whole place is now filled and sanded, ready to be painted. We were able to get the wallpaper off ourselves, which saves us a little money...
We have cleaned a lot of the place up, the cupboards are all cleaned and now nicely lined with flowery paper stuff! haha
We changed all the door handles to match each other, changed the light fixtures in the bathroom and got our new stove (from mikes mum) and new hoodfan in place! Looks SOOO much better now!
Later today or tomorrow I will be going to future shop to get the washer and dryer we want!

The only things that need to be done still are: hiring an electrician to fix some of our outlet things, get my dad to change this thing in our sink, move in, and do a good regular clean.. (like mop the floors, clean the bathrooms) stuff like that. We also need people to come in and clean our carpets, not sure if that will get done or not. I'm sure there are some other minor things that need to be done within the next few weeks, but thats ok! things are moving along.

I cant believe it, my birthday is in a week and a day! haha I have been so busy with everything that the time just went by so fast.

The baby is active these days... probably because I have been! Last night when I was laying in bed, she was moving around a lot... I think its a small sign I need to slow down a bit. Which is why I stayed home all day and didnt really move off the couch a whole lot.. well I got a little bit of packing done.

I am done work! wow, it is such a nice feeling :)
We got the keys to the place on monday night... oh man, there is a lot of stuff that needs to be done... more then we remembered. The whole place needs to be painted.. which is going to cost us about $1300. (double what we were expecting).

We need to still clean EVERYWHERE! the people who lived there before were DISCUSTING! There is tons of greese all over the kitchen.. sooo nasty.. wont come off.

We need to get an electrition in to fix some of our outlets (we knew that from the house inspection) and to see how much it would cost to put lights in our bedrooms...

We need to get new light fixtures, because I really do not like the ones that are there... lol

The blinds are pretty gross, but I will live with most of them until we can afford the nice fake wood ones I want. (Except the kitchen ones are full of greese... so they will be replaced right away with some cheap ones)

Our ensuite bathroom doesnt have a door on it... it has a curtain... and the rod is so short that Mike would hit his face if he didnt duck down... (We have the door that belongs there, so we just need to do a little switching around.)

The laundry room and our walk in closet have these accordian door things, from like the 80s or something... those I would like to replace with regular closet type doors.
We are thinking of expanding our laundry room area... I have no idea how much work it is.. not to much i think just need new doors and then shelving for inside.

The carpets need to be cleaned, but we are waiting until after we move everything in.. (carpet is just on the stairs and upstairs hallway..)

omg, i dont even know if that is everything or not! haha I HOPE SO!!! We will be so broke after!

OH YES.. i forgot.. our roof top patio door lock was broken, so i decided i would buy a new door handle with a lock, and do it myself.. HAHA. Well I got half way through it and Mike got there and said I was doing something wrong.. so he thought he fixed it... WELL nope,he ended up getting the door totaly jammed shut.. SO my dad had to come fix it.. and once he got it all fixed and on.. he laughed at me... because I bought the bathroom/bedroom door handle.. the kind that doesnt have a key... so someone could just use ANYTHING to open it.. OMG! well anyways, that will be fixed tomorrow... haha!
